Cisco Golf Book Series -- Your Key to Better Golf

Hi Bob Cisco here:

Your path to better golf and achieving your golf potential will be greatly enhanced as you improve your knowledge as a student of the game. As a matter of fact, it has proven to be a hard won fact that you are as good as you know your fundamentals and key  basics to the game of golf.

The advance player and pro has his key basics down cold and can operate  more with the necessary essentials focusing more on the target with his swing and  mental intention to direct the shot to the target or its destination.  He’s more in tune with the target as the game. This is correct path to better shot making and consistency.

Your road to better golf and scores begins with getting your fundamentals in solid so you have the training to meet the challenges of the game and course. As opposed to wondering what’s wrong and being stuck in swing mechanics and the latest gimmicks or swing fads in golf instruction today.

Here are some of my books I would recommend for you that cover key aspects and essentials of the game. I have been researching the golf swing and the game for many years now. Many of my students have a more solid foundation in their golf and are playing more to their potential and enjoying their games more from studying my books.

My latest book which has been heralded as a cutting-edge instructional book on the research I did on the role of balance and pivot in the golf swing, has some real key information on the “balance principle” rediscovered in golf and why balance is the primary essential fundamental that a golfer must master to play their best.

Rotational Balance: The Hidden “Secret” the Pros use in the Golf Swing
The Magic-Move in the Golf Swing
Your Most Neglected Piece of Equipment: Your Feet and Golf Shoes

Excerpts from the Perfect Balance Book:
Axiom 2: Balance is the cornerstone of the golf swing motion. From start to completion, control of the clubhead depends upon balance. This holds true for all rotational sports that use a club, stick, raquet or bat. p. 4.

Master Swing Key: The keyword is Balance in the golf swing and is Golf’s new motto of instruction: Improve your balance, Improve Your Game! Your swing key is Balance! p. 12.

Footwork and leg drive are the key essential balance points in the lower body platform in maintaining acceleration at the ball during the golf swing motion.

The change of direction in the golf swing from the backswing to the forward swing is a crucial transition. It acts from the ground up through the golfer’s feet and lower body — especially the feet. p. 102.

In other sports like archery the archer’s attention or focus is placed on the target, not the bow or arrow in delivering the arrow to the target. The archer is rooted to the ground and learns the importance of standing to the target with balance. Likewise with the golf swing, the golfer must adapt his stance to the target line. This is an important point to grasp and keep in mind in practice and actual play. p. 108.

The image of the photographer’s position should be tied to your mental picture of the swing’s end result. Each golf shot has its own image of the finish and the ball going to the hole. It will vary depending on the type of shot, but no matter what, it will be in balance so that you could hold that position easily, say for three seconds at swing’s end. Lights… Cameras… Action! p.148.

More Books by Bob Cisco –

If you are interested in learning how to consistently play golf at your very best each and every time you’re out on the course than you should read this…
Over the years as a golf performance advisor and instructor I have helped hundreds of golfers, amateurs and pros on tour. My players achieve over 50 victories, 40 top fives and over 100 top ten finishes!

You can take hundreds of hours of instruction from the best golf instructors in the country and develop a great “golf swing” but if you ask anyone on the pro circuit what they feel is the difference between winning and losing and playing their best, they’ll all answer, THE mental attitude or toughness is what get’s it done. That’s why Tiger Woods is so great and why Jack Nicklaus and Bobby Jones were the best players in the annals of golf.

Any golfer whether competing in the US Open or just trying to win a friendly weekend match, walks a course scattered with “mental sand traps: One mistake leads to another and before the golfer realizes it, he has lost control of his game throwing away unnecessary strokes as a result. Until you learn to master and control this “mind game” in golf, you’ll not be able to consistently play at your best and will be second best.

Golf courses provide instructors to help you improve your swing but that is not enough. To play your best you need to be trained in not only the “Outer” but “Inner” and “Scoring” Games of Golf. Problems that you encounter will be as much a mental as a physical process. In fact, I’ll go so far ass say that a “mental sand-trap” is capable of throwing all your physical training of swing mechanics out the window if you’re not capable or aware of the techniques of developing your mental game to its highest.

You need to know the secrets that the pro’s use to manage their focus or concentration. Once you have mastered the “Inner Game” and its basic laws, you’ll be surprised at how easy the physical side of the game becomes. That’s where I can act as your “personal coach” in your game.

Unfortunately there are those in certain positions in golf instruction who aren’t happy who don’t want this information revealed to their students. These instructors are content to teach you swing mechanics 97% of the time. Have you ever wondered why your game doesn’t significantly get any better? Did you know what the a leading survey found by the national golf foundation, that after 18 months in the game golfers improve no more than 1 stroke (.9) in their game there-on.

The Majority of Golfers All Agree that Golf is a Mental Game –

Golfing greats like Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Bobby Jones, Ben Hogan, and San Snead all felt it was the mental part of the game which was the more important part. As much as 80 %. Surveys reveal that golfers who feel the game is 75 % mental approach but have no technology to tap this key part of the game! If your one of those golfers who feel you could play better and aren’t, perhaps this will make sense to you.

The reason of course has to do with the fact that if the truth were really let out about the swing and mental game, the lies would be blow away and the belief that golf takes years and years of swing mastery (lessons) is exposed as untrue. Yes, the fundamentals of the swing are important but they can be learned relatively quickly within a reasonable period of time. The way they are taught to you is what is inadequate and needs improvement.

As matter of fact, many pros will lead you to believe that the golf swing is very technical and requires hundreds of hours to perfect and then some. Some are brave enough to admit that the majority of golfers who read my book won’t have to take as many lessons of instruction from them on the mechanics of the swing and how to score.

Most golf pro’s realize the importance of the mental game and admit to it being as important as the swing and more but they’re hush-hush about it. Teaching swing mechanics is a large part of their livelihood. Admitting to their students that they can significantly improve their overall game by simply reading Bob Cisco’s book isn’t exactly what they’re willing to do for obvious reasons.

As a matter of fact, besides learning how to harness and control the mental game, you will learn more basic insight and truths into the golf swing in the first section, than in most golf books combined!

What’s in the Book:
Part 1: The Outer Game: the golf swing and its key fundamentals.
Part 2: The Inner Game: the mental approach and confidence
Part 3: The Scoring, course management and strategy game.

The section on “how to harness effortless power and the discovery Bob Cisco made about power in the golf swing will blow you away. No golf book has ever defined what power was in the golf swing and there is a drill to get it. That’s a super bonus! The real prize is getting the information on the mind game, that you won’t find in other golf books.

You’ll learn a technique so powerful in golf’s mental game that your concentration and ability to focus will improve so much that you won’t want to wait for the weekend play your next round.

You’ll learn what the pros call the secret to success in their games: the pre-shot mental routine and how to develop one for peak performance like the pros with heightened focus. Combine this information on the Mind Game with the knowledge I give you on THE SWING and you’re ready to play Golf’s third game, the SCORING GAME. Here I will teach you the winning strategy that will put consistency into your game and ability to score. Now you’re ready to play YOUR ULTIMATE GAME OF GOLF!

Some Key Excerpts from theBook:
“Power in the golf swing is the result of opposing motions and alternating held positions, creating resistance around a fixed center in which a driving motion unleashes force at impact in the golf shot”. p. 20.
“The biggest difficulty and the deadliest of all sins that the golfer commits is being indecisive. So we have a natural law about this:
All well executed golf shots are the results of being decisive and sure at the moment of hitting the golf ball to the target”. p. 148.
“There is another fundamental that is integral to the laws of movement and that has to so with the manner in which you swing the club: Rhythm. This component is the music section” of the golf swing. Percy Boomer called “rhythm the very soul of golf”. p. 75.
“I can tell you this that the only way you will ever develop a winning approach and be a champion in your game has all to do with this “spirit of play” attitude”. p. 262
